McGrath
Video Laryngoscope | Series 5
McGrath Video Laryngoscope is designed to allow a clear vision of the vocal cords during intubation, without any difference from the usual laryngoscope approach. The tip of McGrath blade carries a little high definition camera with a light source. The clinician can easily obtain a clear view of vocal cords and of the surrounding anatomy; then the tip of the McGrath blade will be inserted towards the larynx until the epiglottis is visible, viewing in real time all the intubation procedure on the LCD colour display.
The McGrath is designed to simplify the difficult airway intubation and to minimize deflecting forces usually necessary to a good intubation in ordinary difficult conditions. The blade curvature and on-screen visualization means significantly less force need to be applied on the upper airway, helping to avoid soft tissue trauma and dental damage.
The McGrath Video Laryngoscope is designed and realized on clinician’s needs. It is quick and easy to use. Its robust and durable design and its lightness, offer a very balanced handle. The user has not to introduce focal corrections or to modify images in other way.
A very simple on/off button on the top of the handle will activate the McGrath Video Laryngoscope. The screen angle can be adjusted to allow the user to intubate in an upright and comfortable position. The high definition LCD has a wide viewing angle meaning others can fully observe the procedure.
McGrath utilises a single-use blade made from a robust optical polymer. This is supplied sterile to help eliminate cross contamination, and means the McGrath is always ready to use. Moreover it doesn’t need sterilisation.
The McGrath Video Laryngoscope is the first truly portable unit and uses one single AA Battery and no external cables or wires.
